Hi there, hope you are doing well. I have a question, are we suppose to keep the Sabbath day? It’s a commandment, and for some reason most Christians do not keep it. I’m doing a study on it, and have yet to come across anything in the Bible that says we are not to keep the Sabbath. I thought I came across things that said we are no longer to keep it, but then I looked d deeper. I appreciate anything you have to say on the subject!

      Hello Chelsea,

Thanks for the question. While I don’t deal with the Sabbath directly in my blog, I do spend a good deal of time on the Law, so I will address your question from that standpoint.

As I mentioned in my posts on the Law, the commandments fall into two general categories; the first were commandments intended to separate the Old Testament Jews from the surrounding nations and keep them healthy and prosperous. These included the commandments regarding dietary restrictions, hygiene, tithing, and personal/civil conduct.

The second category were the ceremonial commandments intended to symbolize, model, and rehearse the redemptive work of Jesus during His physical advent on the earth. These included things like the sacrificial offerings, feasts, AND the Sabbath.

There are a couple of places in the New Testament that I think are pretty definitive as far as how Christians should deal with the law. In Act 15, the Apostles meet to discuss this and decided that the ONLY part of the law Christians are required to obey are the commandants on sexual immorality, idolatry, and pagan blood ceremonies.

Why? Because Jesus fulfilled His part of the Law when he was here on earth. That is why we no longer have to sacrifice animals for a Sin Offering, because Jesus was the ultimate and LAST sacrifice. Similarly, we do not HAVE to observe the Sabbath because Jesus IS our Sabbath rest (he said this to the Pharisees when they criticized the disciples for picking corn on the Sabbath in Matthew). Moreover, in Colossians 2:16-17, Paul SPECIFICALLY says that no one is to be judged on keeping the Sabbath BECAUSE it was just a symbol of Jesus’ future advent which He fulfilled.

I supposed there is no harm in keeping the Sabbath if you CHOOSE to, but I don’t see it as an obligation since 1. Jesus fulfilled it, and 2. Christians by definition are not pre-advent Jews.

      Hope this helped

Mr. Mabrie your approach to the Bible is exactly what I’ve always needed since I am also one who needs the reasoning amd rationale behind things. If you could just go ahead and do 50 episode series on every book in the Bible, I’d much appreciate it! I kid, I kid. But I am interested to know more of community around these ideas. Are there summits or seminars or conventions where people gather to discuss the Bible through this type of lens? I would love to meet and be inspired by more like-minded individuals.

I have a small group of like mided people that I fellowship with privately. One of our group is working on publishing a book that encapsulates many of the ideas we discuss. I can share a link to it when it is ready.

Hello. Do you have a concise version of your thoughts on the speed of light decaying? I watched you on TFH and I’d love to have a version of just that theory that I can share with people.

Sure. In a nutshell – The speed of light was discovered to be 186,000 miles per second. The idea that the speed of light was a predictable constant was the basis of modern physics. In 1988, two physicists named Barry Setterfield and Trevor Norman discovered that the speed of light is NOT a constant, but is in fact slowing down over time. The slowing is happening in very small increments, but is occurring predictably and logarithmically (exponentially over time). This should have been one of the biggest stories in the world of physics in decades since it changes what we know about many of the laws of physics, but it has gotten little attention. Scientists who have studied this phenomenon predict that if the rate of decay is constant, the speed of light would have been 100x faster during the first century, and up to 10,000x faster 8,000 years ago (roughly the time of the Flood, and the period know as “ancient times”). Since the speed of light governs the speed at which we process thoughts, the ancients would have been exponentially smarter that we are and the perception would have been so much more advanced that they may have been able to perceive the spiritual realm and interact with the elohim/Angels who they considered “gods”

Listened to your episodes with Sam Tripoli…so amazing. I will preface my question with this; I was raised in many different denominations of Christianity, it always made sense to me and was always on board with everything…in 1998 we moved and by 1999 had my first experience with pot, and I remember knowing in myself back then, the first time, I was addicted to every drug on earth. By 2003 I realized it was alcohol that I am completely stuck with. It’s 2024, I pray and read and try to listen and worship. I have been to so many rehabs throughout the years. Even worked in ministry 3 times. In all of it desperate to get free of this addiction. God has consistently either just refused to help or has a different set of goals for me I guess.
My grand father died of alcoholism(parents don’t drink)…which has led me to the concept of generational curses spoke of I think about 4-5 times in the Bible…I fully believe this issue is metaphysical and has something to do with spiritual legality…there is too much more I could write so I will get to the question…
What do you believe about generational curses, spiritual laws that make them override free will, or what can be done about it. I hate to say it but it seems like Jesus doesn’t have direct power over this, so something else is going on.

Hi David, thank you for writing me and I’m glad you enjoyed my appearance on TFH.

Re: generational curses – a generational curse is a destructive thought process that you acquire consciously and/or unconsciously from parents or grandparents. This curse cannot and does not supersede your free will. The only way to lose your free will is if you intentionally give it over to another spiritual entity (demon). If that is not the case with you, and you are finding it difficult to get over the addition, then it is likely an unconscious issue. Our unconscious brain is MUCH stronger that our conscious brain. We consciously control only 10% of our brain. The other 90% is unconscious. Meaning that if you are trying to overcome your addition by “will power”, it is like a 100lbs person trying to fight a 900lbs gorilla. Good luck! One of the keys to overcoming it is to identify the unconscious triggers that drive you to drink and replacing them with something else. It is an involved process, but I can point you to some resources if you are interested. Just a note – this has to be something you are SINCERELY interested in overcoming because it requires personal accountability vs. blaming the situation on a familial curse and not putting in the work to make changes.

Loved your episode on tin foil hat about heaven being hotter than hell and the speed of light. Makes sense of Dante’s depiction of hell as you mentioned, as well as the gates to Eden being guarded by cherubim with flaming swords. The idea being that attachments to sin and this realm get/need to be burned away as you move closer to god. Great work Ed, hope to hear more from you!

Hello! I just wanted to say how awesome this entire project is. The podcast you did on “my family thinks I’m crazy,” has affirmed a lot of topics I think about for me in my walk, and has only made things more comprehensive
for me in my walk. Thank you for taking the time in general to deep dive into all the things you talk about. We need more of it. This is the real meat.

    Hi, Ed.
I enjoy your podcasts and I was wondering if you have any links you could share with me about biblical study groups that you would be interested in. I live in Toronto Ontario Canada. Thanks for all your shows. I checked out all 59 episodes on Revelation so far, looking forward to number 60, and then Genisis.
    Regards,
    Benjamin.

      Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for listening to the episodes. They were a labor of love! Episode 60 is out. Hopefully you’ve had a chance to listed to it. There is a private study group I belong to where we study the Bible from the supernatural perspective every year. There is a lot of interest in it so we might allow more people to join next year.

    Hey Mr. Mabrie,

I heard you on Tin Foil Hat and NDS, I have to say I’m intrigued with your work. Well done.

I’m fairly new to this scene and Christianity as a whole so I’m having trouble discerning the Truth. I’m a fan of logic, reason, and facts, and the Holy Bible is my go to for those things. But being young in my Faith, I sometimes find my (and others) interpretation to be misleading or misunderstanding. The obvious answer to combat this, is to continue studying and referencing the Holy Bible. But that can lead back to my issue of not understanding or misinterpreting. Would you have any helpful tips on learning the Truth the way it was intended to be taught?

And on a side note, I’ve noticed while pursuing said Truth I’m feeling the oppression of evil spirits attempting to sabotage my search and relationship with God. I’ve heard of a “Prayer for Spiritual Warfare”, or something of that nature, could you help me out with that? I know all I need is Jesus to deal with them but I like all the help I can get.

    Thank you and God bless,
    Blake

      Hi Blake,

      My tips would be:
      1. Remember the Bible was not written in english, nor was it written to a 21st century culture. We need to undertand the actual meaning of the words and the culture that was being addressed. A good interlinear resource like Blue Letter Bible is helpful here.
      2. Context – ask yourself who is speaking, who is being spoken to, and to what degree (if any) does this apply directly to me.

Love yr discussions with Nephilim Death Squad. I was wondering is there a Bible out there that breaks down scripture, like the original Hebrew or Greek words and what those words mean? Or anything g along those lines. I would like to read the Bible again but I need a good one and not sure which one to read. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Hi, I watch you on nephilim death squad and I always look forward to it. I also watched episodes on your rumble channel as well. I really appreciate how much you know about the Bible. I have always been really interested in the book of revelation as well. But I have always had a question about the rapture, keep in mind I do not even know anything compared to you. But why do you think that Christians will be raptured instead of a mass killing of Christians?

I say this because in the past the disciples and other Christians have been martyred for their beliefs. In the book of revelation there are people in white robes that were martyred wondering when things will come to pass. Then there are the multitude in white robes that appeared before them.

My question is that because both were given white robes does it not follow that they were all martyrs? This is why I feel like the rapture will be many Christians being martyred instead of being taken by God suddenly. To me it just makes more sense because of the nature of the world.

I would really like your opinion because in all the times I have listened to people talk about the book of revelation no one has mentioned this. I understand that there could be gaps in my logic. I know they are told to wait for the little season etc.

Please let me know, I really respect your opinion.

      Hi Kristin,

Did you read and view my posts and videos on the Rapture? I suggest you check them out by going to the “Rapture” category in the right navigation area. I address my reasons for the Rapture there.

How do I find out more on the Bible study that is starting on Genesis? Is that the 2 episodes on the podcast or a separate thing? I signed up for emails and confirmed but never did get an email so I may not be setup correctly. Thanks for your help.

    Hey Ed!

I’m looking to get a new bible in addition to my king James and new American standard. What are your thoughts on the literal standard version? What would you recommend as the most true to original translation? Thanks.

EM – lots of hate for Jews and elaborate beliefs about “ashkanazi” Jews who run the world and the jews of Israel are not real Israelites. Have you discussed this topic? It’s pretty popular and I’d like to understand more.
